Red: Symbolizes Oya's passion, power, and vitality. In traditional Yoruba chromatography, red is also associated with heat, aggression, and virility.

Black: Symbolizes death and the underworld. In traditional Yoruba chromatography, black is also associated with the earth, fertility, and the limitlessness of knowledge.

White: Symbolizes purity, light, and coolness.

Unprepared

An Ide that is not prepared is simply a beaded bracelet, that has not been activated.

An Ide is a beaded bracelet that has been prepared or activated with the energy of an Orisa. Ides come in various colors that represent an Orisa (spirit; energy). They are prepared to activate the energy of the associated Orisa.
